Swimming in the capital: New tariffs of the Berlin baths annoy regular customers – Berlin

Tariff changes are always tricky. This is currently the experience of the Berliner Bäderbetriebe. With the entry fees valid since February 1, bathing pleasure should be cheaper and less complicated, especially for regular customers. But now the complaints are piling up. Clemens Goldberg has been looking forward to the new tariffs. Twice a week, the 59-year-old swims in Finckensteinallee in Lichterfelde and uses a 10-card in the basic tariff for 35 euros. So far, he was allowed between 10 and 15 clock in the basin. Now he can also bathe with the same card for the Good morning fare (before ten o'clock) and for the evening tariff (after 8 o'clock). Actually, "Whenever I wanted to go to the bathroom before ten o'clock on February 1, my card did not work," says Goldberg. "When I wanted to exchange my multiple card, I was told: I should just wait, in four months, the old cards would work at all times." For Goldberg an extremely unsatisfactory answer. For in four months long is the open-air season, and there are again other tariffs.Informatiker work on it In the baths you know the problem. "It's true that the old trading cards have a time-out. Our computer scientists are currently outsmarting the system in order to adapt the cards to the new tariffs, "says spokesman of the Bäderbetriebe Matthias Oloew. In a few days, the problem is probably resolved. Other customers complain because some aqua-fitness classes now cost 9.50 instead of 7 euros per hour. Here are the baths, however, the hands tied, says Oloew. "The Senate wants us to offer these courses cost-covering, we have not done so far." Some Vielbader even miss the old year card. Although this was 44 euros more expensive than the new spa card, but contained ten free sauna or class hours.
