Who pays just the estimated 2.4 billion euros for the purchase of new commuter trains? The purchase of the S-Bahn is checked. Here again there is the possibility that a company trains on own account buys and retains or sells them to the countries. There is also the option that the countries set up their own company for the enterprise or use an existing one such as the BVG or the Behala, to which they can leave the enterprise without European-wide announcement. Again, the trains would be procured through a company and waited 30 years. And finally, they wanted to check whether it is possible to buy the S-Bahn completely, said Günther on Wednesday. In the past, the railway company had always strictly rejected this. With this approach, the Senate wants to avoid being dependent only on one company – as most recently in the tender for operation on the ring. The countries had demanded that the operator also buys the vehicles. In the end, the S-Bahn was the only applicant who could demand monopoly prices, as Günther said. Even now, the S-Bahn can apply again, which is to be expected. In addition, it has the workshops.
